Irving Berlin's 1932 composition has been a favorite of instrumentalists and vocalists for decades. Its beautiful melody, manageable range and relatively consistent harmonic tonality make this a very accessible standard and a great vehicle for self-expression. There are some fun moments of quirky harmony, and although it’s sometimes performed as a ballad, it’s typically a medium swing tune.
